Thank you, teachers!

Today at my school we are doing teacher/staff appreciation day! I know I don’t post on Mondays but I decided to only for this time because I would like to show my appreciation to my teachers. I have asked them a few questions so here are the questions. Although since this a fashion blog, I sort of have to ask them a few fashion questions. Here are the questions!

1. When did you start teaching? Do you remember what you wore on the first day?

2. What do you normally wear to work? Does it have to do with the subject you teach?

3. Do you think you are a fashionable teacher? Why or why not?

4. How do you come up with your work outfits every day? Do they reflect your work vibe?

5. Lastly, is there any advice you would like to give to future humans that would like to be a fashionable teacher?

Mr. Gerovac

He teaches, ELA. He is the home room class for 6th grade. To me, his style is a comfy style. He tries to keep it easy, fast, and comfy. Read his answers down below!

1. When did you start teaching? Do you remember what you wore on the first day?

I started teaching preschool in Cleveland way back in 2002. I don't remember what I wore the first day, but I do have some pretty fun stories about working with the little ones when I was fresh out of college.

2. What do you normally wear to work? Does it have to do with the subject you teach?

Typically, I wear khaki's and a polo shirt. It doesn't really have to do with the subject I teach.

3. Do you think you are a fashionable teacher? Why or why not?

That's hard to say. I suppose fashion is in the eye of the beholder. I usually refer to my "school clothes" as my "teacher outfit." I don't typically dress like a teacher when I'm out and about.

4. How do you come up with your work outfits everyday? Do they reflect your work vibe?

My "teacher outfit" has to be comfortable. So, I usually think about comfort, then coordinating the colors (basically, just making sure I kind of match). I think my work clothes do reflect a "work vibe" simply because they are the clothes I wear to work.

5. Lastly, is there any advice you would like to give to future humans that would like to be a fashionable teacher?

I think practicality and comfort are key. It can be a long day and, if you're wearing uncomfortable clothes, it can make the day seem longer.

Mr. Bruce

This lover of men fashion teaches Catholic Religion and Social Studies. He is the homeroom class for 7th grade! His style is basic and not overdone. Read his answers below!

1. When did you start teaching? Do you remember what you wore on the first day?

I began teaching in 2018. On the first day of school, I wore a dress shirt and tie.

2. What do you normally wear to work? Does it have to do with the subject you teach?

Normally, I wear khakis and a dress shirt/polo with a belt and dress shoes. Sometimes, I wear fun socks. I also wear Oakley sunglasses. I feel that this combo gives me an aura of mystery.

3. Do you think you are a fashionable teacher? Why or why not?

I am confidently fashionable. I think all my students would agree.

4. How do you come up with your work outfits everyday? Do they reflect your work vibe?

I usually have a warm weather Monday shirt that I wear on warm weather Mondays. I do the same for Tuesdays and for each day the rest of the week. I also do the same for cold weather days. I mix my socks, belt and shoes up. My work vibe is sometimes reflected when I wear Catholic saint shirts on their feast days.

5. Lastly, is there any advice you would like to give to future humans that would like to be a fashionable teacher?

Yes. Here's my secret: It's not about what you wear. It's how you wear it.

Now, I do have one more teacher. He teaches math and science. He is the home room teacher to the 8th grade. You might be wondering where his answers are. I would have loved to put them in if I could, but I never got his answers. So, if I do end up getting them some time today I will make sure I put it on this post so fr you guys to read!

Thank you all for reading! Have a nice day and spread the fashion love! 💕 Make sure you subscribe, like this post, give it a like, share, and follow me on here! Love y’all!
